Group is Welfare Champion 2021 according to Generali’s PMI Welfare Index report

Sidea Group has received the highest rating in Generali’s SME Welfare Index, becoming part of the 105 Welfare Champions, or the companies that have distinguished themselves for numerous initiatives in corporate welfare, management skills and high economic-organisational commitment, and significant social impacts on the communities inside and outside the company.

Welfare Champions received their awards during the SME Welfare Index presentation, the index that evaluates the level of corporate welfare in small and medium-sized Italian companies, analysing the parameters of over six thousand companies in all production sectors.

The initiative is promoted by Generali Italy with the patronage of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and with the participation of the main Italian Confederations: Confindustria, Confagricoltura, Confartigianato, Confprofessioni and Confcommercio.

According to the 2021 Report, welfare continues to grow in SMEs: in 6 years, companies with a high level of welfare have more than doubled, from 9.7% in 2016 to the current 21%.

Most of the welfare-related initiatives initiated to deal with the pandemic have been absorbed as structural and permanent by many companies. In addition, the report revealed that 54.8% of the companies that have included welfare in their business strategy have recorded positive returns on productivity.

For Sidea Group, the 5W rating is the result of a whole year of work by the HR and Administration, Finance and Control departments, in synergy with the legal counsels and the Confindustria observatory dedicated to these issues.
