Sidea Group introduces Pink Leave

Sidea Group guarantees a paid day of menstrual leave for its employees in case of particularly painful menstruation

Well-being at work is also created with targeted measures that emerge from listening to people’s needs and the constant attention to what happens in society. For this reason, Sidea Group has established Pink Leave, joining the very few companies in Europe (for now) that have regulated menstrual leave, meaning the chance for employees to take a day of paid leave in case of painful menstruation. Sidea Group employees can therefore suspend work for an entire day, or part of it, fully paid, in case of pain related to the beginning of their menstrual cycle.

Particularly painful menstruation can be a symptom of different diseases, but it is not always the case: sometimes it simply happens that you feel very ill without having a disease that can be certified.

Pink Leave was designed for this broad group of workers; Sidea Group’s motto is With people, for people: and initiatives for people such as Pink Leave are conceived thanks to the constant dialogue with people. The wish of the entire Sidea Group team is that more and more companies in Italy decide to devote proper attention to workers’ needs and that more and more people learn to calculate profit not only in economic terms but also in terms of well-being within the company.
